Sir Demola Aladekomo is a pioneering Nigerian technology entrepreneur and the Founder of the CHAMS Group. He currently serves as Founder of ChamsCorp PLC and Chairman of the Board of Chams Holding Company PLC, providing strategic oversight and visionary leadership across the Group’s portfolio of digital infrastructure and technology businesses.
In 1985, he founded CHAMS as Nigeria’s first indigenous computer maintenance company. Under his leadership, the company evolved into a trailblazing technology group, pioneering several firsts in Nigeria’s IT ecosystem. These include the deployment of the first wide-area network (WAN) on PCs in Nigeria, early adoption of card technologies, and the development of innovative digital infrastructure solutions that transformed public and private sector operations.

Sir Demola is widely recognized as a key architect of Nigeria’s digital payments revolution. He played a central role in the Valucard project, which birthed Nigeria’s first e-payment card in collaboration with a consortium of five indigenous banks. He also led the team that secured the concession for Nigeria’s Identity Management Programme, a landmark initiative that strengthened national digital identity infrastructure. His contributions to innovation earned CHAMS international recognition, including a Guinness World Record acknowledgment for Chams City Innovation.

Beyond corporate leadership, Sir Demola has made significant contributions to professional and industry bodies. He served as President of the Nigeria Computer Society in 2012 and is a Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society (FNCS). He is also a Fellow of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (FCPN) and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. An alumnus of the Chief Executive Programme at Lagos Business School, he later served as President of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association (2012–2014).
Committed to national development, he is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Volunteer Corps, a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting professional volunteerism in public school education. He also previously served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the SmartCard Society of Nigeria.

After retiring as Group Managing Director of CHAMS in 2015, Sir Demola was appointed Chairman of the Board in March 2020. As Founder and Chairman, he continues to shape the strategic direction of the Group, champion innovation, and advance digital transformation initiatives that enhance economic growth and improve the quality of life for Nigerians.
